How to create Custom Recovery Image for Windows 8

The recimg command included with Windows 8 allows you to replace the recovery image with your own system image. When you use the Reset or Refresh feature, your PC will go back to the state you chose.

Create custom image with recimg command
1. Run Command Prompt as an administrator
2. Type recimg /CreateImage C:\SystemImage\ where C:\SystemImage will be the directory that I stored my image.









Create multiple image and set default image
1. Run Command Prompt as an administrator
2. Type recimg /CreateImage C:\SystemImage2\ and it will set as a default image

If you decided to use the first image as the default image that you created earlier, you can run the command as below:
recimg /SetCurrent C:\SystemImage

How to know what is my current default image
By running the command below, you will know what is your default current image:
1. Type recimg /ShowCurrent
